In 1882 and 1883, these two local “big shots” worked together to bring the Terre Haute and Logansport (after 1905, the Vandalia) Railroad through Marmont, now Culver, and on through Plymouth to South Bend.
Bremen has a fascinating history beginning with the early settlers of German Township, their origins and the reasons they emigrated here. These pioneers, the sacrifices they made and the community they founded created the beginnings of the thriving Bremen of today.
