The Marshall County Historical Society is sponsoring a Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event on Friday, March 14th, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. Learn about making real maple syrup the old-fashioned way.
Local resident Jonathan Cook will share all the steps from tapping the trees to knowing when the syrup is done. He follows age-old methods for producing this sweet concoction. Cook will also discuss how the earliest Marshall County inhabitants, the Potawatomi and other tribes, made it before the European settlers arrived.
The Brown Bag event will be at the Marshall County Historical Society & Museum, 123 N. Michigan St., Plymouth. Pack a lunch and learn with us! For more information, please call 574-936-2306.
