About Us
The mission of the Marshall County Historical Society (MCHS) is to collect, preserve, interpret and promote education and research about the history of Marshall County, Indiana, for the benefit of residents and visitors.
The Museum is home to over 20,000 objects that tell the stories of Marshall County. The Museum opened in Plymouth, Indiana in 1958, a few blocks from our current location. Today, we have three connected buildings with two floors of public space in each. Read our history here.
Admission to the Museum is free but donations are appreciated. Our membership program supports our efforts and offers exclusive benefits. We are open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our research library offers free and paid assistance depending on your needs. Contact us to learn more.
